Score two for the good guys . . . I mean, girls!

This is an incredible story. A 13 year old teen is home sick from school. While in her room hears intruders enter her home. She ducks under the covers in her bed and texts her mother at work nearby. When the mom gets home she's struggles with one of the intruders just as the police get there and arrest the pair. The story is here.

What strikes me about this is how incredibly cool under pressure Lauren was. The intruders actually sat on the bed where she was hiding! OMG! Hard to say what would have happened had they found her but, thankfully we'll never know.

Then, for the mom to get in to a confrontation . . . that takes some guts, too. Although I'm sure the protecting mom instinct took over at that point. Still, incredible.

So, hats off to two real super heroes. Ya done good. Real good.

One the other end of the story is the remark from one of the intruder's mother:

"I believe in my daughter. She is a goodhearted individual. But she has made a bad decision and she'll pay the price for it."

Yeah, right.

Hey at least the intruder's mother said her daughter would own her responsibility. That's pretty huge, IMO.

You're right. It just seems to bleed of those parents who can never see their "precious" little babies do anything wrong, when quite the contrary is true. As this advances, it will be interesting to see if mom comes to her daughter's defense . . . or if she really let's her pay the price.
